Gate 3 – Project 5 – The Journey

My journey learning about sound editing has been a long one. Starting my first project, making sound scapes for two locations, was very daunting. However, I put my head down and pressed forward. I ended up creating two environments with nothing but sound (https://youtu.be/6dYaprmxT94)(https://youtu.be/MFJfmAaPBZ0). This gave me confidence about what else I could achieve with sound. I then tried telling a story with added sound effects (https://youtu.be/4g_1J6sX9TM). This turned out pretty well and I felt confident going into the next project, making a PSA.(https://youtu.be/4g_1J6sX9TM). However, I am most proud of my Poem Project. We had to cut up five different recordings and stitch them into one so a new person read each line of a poem. It was a long and repetitive process. But, eventually I had my poem and was proud of the work I had done (https://youtu.be/O2d3Peu9azM). Overall the work I did for this gate created a strong foundation for my skills in Premiere to grow and expand!
